 Monday, September 12; Day 16. Traveling from Sheridan, WY to an RV park in the greater Rapid City area. Not as long a drive as other days. we made a tourist stop at Devil's Tower, MT. Not in any particular order. A shot of the top with vultures over top. Snakes, pigeons and some kind of rat live on the very top. Despite that, climbers claim it is all worth the view. The photo below is of wildlife I encountered walking Corky this morning in Peter D's RV park. ( The park was impeccable, immaculate and level. If you are ever in the Sheridan, WY area, I highly recommend it. More Devil's Tower shots. The next two shots are of the landscape after we left Devil's Tower. This is the Monday night moon. We were hoping the park would be dark enough to see a fantastic sky. We weren't that lucky Tomorrow will be hitting Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial and maybe a cave.

 September 10; Day 14 Today was a shopping and travel day. We left West Glacier and went to Kalispell, MT for supplies. From there we drove to Helena, Mt to return the rental car then another 10-15 miles to our campsite. The part of the country we traveled through was so different than IL. So Much room. So many rolling hills. So much space between neighbors. There were so many places I would have loved to turn out and take pictures but we needed to make time. So many streams. We saw several glaciated lakes. We drove through a valley between two mountain ranges. So many head of cattle. Lots of horses. One kind of long horned bull I'm guessing. This is not my photo, but I did see a few head of these pronghorn antelope in a field. As we drove I saw something I learned about as a small child but never saw. Haystacks!!! No Little Boy Blue but a haystack!! Our campsite was along the Prickly Pear Creek. We had a visit from wildlife today! Don't be scared. Prickly Pear Creek! Tomorrow ...

 Friday, September 9; Day 13. Canada Day via Going-to-the-Sun Road through the park. The last couple of days have been cloudy with some rain depending where in the park you were. We watched the temps drop as we gained elevation when all of a sudden near Logan Pass where you cross the Continental Divide, there was snow. All of the higher elevations had snow, too. As we continued to drive, we were in and out of the clouds. We were way up in the clouds! If you ever plan to travel into Canada, you need to fill out online ARRIVECAN. You can get a one time exemption which Judy and I have already used.  September 8; Day 12 Two Medicine and Many Glacier Day Seven hours of sightseeing in Glacier National Park today - Montana is enormous! Both of these parts of the park are on the east side. Our camper is on the west side. There are two ways to get to the other side. One is to drive across Going-to-the-Sun Road through the park. The other is to drive around the bottom the park. They each take about the same amount of time. We chose to go around on the way out so we could drive a smaller road the camper is too beg for. Two Medicine is at the beginning of that road. Great plan except we found the road CLOSED when we arrived. Disappointing but there is another highway around. Two Medicine was not disappointing.
