Friday, September 9; Day 13.

Canada Day via Going-to-the-Sun Road through the park.

The last couple of days have been cloudy with some rain depending where in the park you were. We watched the temps drop as we gained elevation when all of a sudden near Logan Pass where you cross the Continental Divide, there was snow. All of the higher elevations had snow, too. As we continued to drive, we were in and out of the clouds.

We were way up in the clouds!

The image below was taken from the St. Mary Visitors Center on the east side

Again, I have no control on order, but these next four were at or near the Canadian border.

If you ever plan to travel into Canada, you need to fill out online ARRIVECAN. You can get a one time exemption which Judy and I have already used. It kept asking for an address in Canada where we would be staying. We were returning to the US the same day. We couldn't find a way to say that on the form plus from the website it looked that ARRIVECAN would just speed up entry. We did not get the idea it was a must. It is a must. They wanted us to give the address of the Waterton Lakes Peace Park because that is where we were visiting.

Again, wrong order. The top two are in Waterton. This is the view from our lunch spot. The food was even better than the food!!!

The next two shot were of the mountains as we drove north. It was possible to see far more of these mountains at one time than I had seen of those in Glacier Park at one time.

Of the pics below, one and five are of the bay on Waterton Lake.

Below is looking down the lake toward the mountains.

This is a peace park because Canada and the US share this fantastic system of formations.

The Prince Philip Hotel is a landmark. We are only seeing the top portion. From the other side, there are several floors below.

The quaint Waterton Lake marina.

Right in Waterton is an interesting falls. One falls falls right over the other.

Still no control on order. The first shot should be number three. We were on the highway heading south seeing the mountains from miles away.

The picture below shows the wonderful reflection of the clouds in the sky.

This shot is across Waterton Lake as we left the area.

Below announces we have returned to MT!

Just before the Montana sign was a tribute to the Blackfeet Nation.

The next two images are of Glacier Park formations. It is super impressive coming in from the north.

Logan Pass around 7 pm

It was sunset when we finally returned to the camper. It was worth the drive!

Tomorrow we break camp, do some shopping, return the rental car to Helena and camp one night in Clancy, MT.
